| Position Summary |
Create, implement, maintain and evaluate all Antioch University Seattle giving programs including the solicitation of major, planned and annual gifts. Provide support for the dean of university relations in collaborating on major gift solicitations. Are responsible for strategic planning and budgeting to meet fundraising goals, prospect research and tracking, alumni/donor outreach and cultivation, production of annual Horace Mann Awards event, annual fund drive and donor stewardship. |
| Essential Functions/Accountabilities |
- Identify, research, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects in collaboration with the dean of university relations.
- In-person solicitation of gifts.
- Develop and execute all annual giving programs including the holiday direct mail appeal and faculty/staff giving campaign.
- Produce annual Horace Mann Awards event in support of the scholarship endowment.
- Provide support and assistance to the President for any fundraising activity on their part and board of visitors initiatives.
- Develop annual fundraising goals in alignment with the vision and mission of the university and the goals of the campus community.
- Provide development data and submission of bi-monthly reports for the BOV, the president and the vice chancellor of advancement for the board of trustees.
- Monitor endowment and scholarship funds.
- Provide support and assistance to the president and dean of university relations as deemed necessary and designated by them.

| Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum two years of fundraising experience or two years or experience in public relations, event management, alumni relations or related field.
- Demonstrated skills in personal computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and relational database management.
- Ability to independently execute projects while working in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to and belief in education as a vehicle of change in society.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative and diverse participatory community.
- Willingness to learn and develop advanced fundraising skills

| Relationships |
| Internal: Works closely with local administrators (faculty, staff and administrators) and with staff from the chancellor's office.
External: Works closely with alumni, donors and prospective donors and participates in community and professional groups as a means to attract attention and support for the institution and to keep abreast of trends and laws affecting fundraising programs. |

| There are no direct supervision responsiblities. |

| Physical and Mental Demands |
This position is essentially a sedentary job. Functions are usually performed sitting but may involve some amount of time standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 25 lbs.), walking, carrying or other movements. Position may require some travel; a driver's license is required. Periods of high stress given the nature of the work. |
