| Position Summary |
Provides database design, maintenance and management skills to support the psychology department and specific professional accreditation requirements. Provides database management for student internship programs. Develops and maintains other databases and departmental tracking as needed. Assists with office management to assure smoothly functioning department. |
| Essential Functions/Accountabilities |
- Assists with design, implementation and ongoing input of databases to track information required to obtain and maintain professional accreditation requirements for: The Commission on Marriage and Family Therapy (COMFTE); American Psychological Association (APA); Art Therapists Association (ATA): Mental Health Counseling. Collaborates in design with psychology dean and program chairs.
- Assists with maintenance, troubleshooting and ongoing input of existing departmental databases and information tracking. Works with internship database and other student, faculty and departmental databases.
- Coordinates departmental database management and creates reports determined in coordination with the psychology dean and leadership team.
- Assists with office management. Duties may include budget tracking, ordering office supplies, etc., to assure smoothly functioning center.
- Performs other duties as assigned. This may include assisting the dean, program chairs or faculty as needed.

| Qualifications |
2 year college degree in related field or equivalent experience required. B.A. preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years administrative experience in corporate or academic environment required. Demonstrated experience with design and maintenance of databases.
Strong computer skills including database management and troubleshooting, knowledge of Access, Mac programs, Word and Excel proficiency required.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a diverse, participatory environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. |
| Relationships |
| Internal: Works closely with dean, faculty, technical support department, administrators, staff and students.
External: Occasional contact with local vendors. |
| Supervision |
| There may be supervision of work-study students. |
| Environmental and Job Hazards |
| No unusual environmental or job hazards. |
| Physical and Mental Demands |
1. Regular computer keyboard use.
2. Occasional periods of stress due to high volume and nature of interpersonal contact. |
