On Interest Area

"For me, anthropology is a discipline, an intellectual path and a way of life. At the core of what it means to be human are language and stories. We each have our own voice, our own story and we also share the stories and voices of our cultures and our age groups. Learning stories and voices of other people and peoples brings me wisdom."

On Teaching at Antioch

"We work here as mentors, guides and gentle judges to help people find out what is central to their lives. Education in the liberal arts is the process by which we lead people to fuller, more clearly articulated, more meaningful lives. Critical caring and compassion are our methods."
