Muriel Dance is Antioch University Seattle's first full-time director of Continuing Education. Formerly she served as Chair, UC Berkeley Extension Online for one year and 12 years as a senior administrator for the University of Washington Extension, where she put the first course on the web in 1996 and helped the distance learning unit win its first national recognition with the UCEA Distinguished Course Award. She also served as Associate Dean of the School of New Resources at the College of New Rochelle, an adult degree program serving 4,000 adults in metropolitan New York.

Awards
In recognition for her work in founding Next Chapter Puget Sound, a consortium focused on the learning, meaningful engagement and social networking interests of the baby boom generation, Dance was awarded the Community Leadership and Outreach award in 2007 from Antioch University Seattle.
